I am writing close the two short stories that read agnomend, The out of sight Life of Walter Mitty pen by James Thurber and The Story of an Hour written by Kate Chopin. I picked these two stories because to me they were both about marriages which included the trials and sorrow that come with this union.
In a marriage there is demand for independence and excitement along with experience that marriage rout out inadvertently inhibit. I found that both these stories happen to dilate some of the wants and or needs that arise out of marriage. stock-still both these stories do show at times how desire and or necessity raft be satisfied or experienced at heart the confines of ones instinct and that both stories illustrate a sense of confinement that can arise with in a marriage.
In the story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty he is just an ordinary man that much daydreams of being something extraordinary. The daydreaming that he experiences shows his desire for excitement which has truly been inhibited by his wife. Now in, The Story of an Hour, Mrs. Mallard is a devoted to her husband and it has no limits but it does seem that the awe is not genuine. Mrs. Mallard stays with her husband because she is accustomed to him and leave remain with him out of the tradition and comfort. You did get the same savour that both these main charters in these stories are dissatisfied with life.
When I first read The Story of An Hour I was earlier shocked to see the words that she was free but once more I was just scanning over the story and its really amazing how by scanning over I missed a lot of this story.
