The two governments ground forces and the USSR were at opposite ends of the political and economic spectrum during the Cold War. USA was a capitalist country with democracy, the USSR with communist dictatorship. Democracy gave the great unwashed the causation to vote for any political party you want. Dictatorship you bathroom only vote for people in the one party. I believe democracy is the best political and economic system of rules because the country generally ends up with more wealth even off with less people and land.

Military expenditures in the former Soviet Union were a great burden on the Soviet thriftiness, draining resources that might otherwise have been available to cleanse the economic circumstances of the people. The Soviet Unions economy could provide only a stable organization for the military, it could not efficiently manage the system of a consumer-based society. The people in Russia lived in disadvantaged circumstances throughout the Cold War. The USAs military expenditures also drained resources and certain endowment fund that would have been profitable to the private economy. By the 1970s the unite States had fallen behind Japan and West Germany in contention for the quality of consumer goods. After two decades the USA had become the largest debtor country in the world.



The main reason for this is the military armor race with the Soviet Union. There were two main systems during the Cold War there was political and economic.

The USSR had more land and large population. Although they had these two things they still had less money than America. The reason for this was communism. A communist country produces less money, a reason for this is that people will do as little as they privy if given the chance.
