RE: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â APPOINTMENT OF GRADUATES IN MAINSTREAM SCHOOLS AND INTAKE OF TEACHER TRAINEES beginning JANUARY 2005
This is to inform you that there will be some changes scratch January 2005
concerning the Appointment of Graduates from Colleges of Secondary
Education and intake of student teachers.
The Ministry has decided that not all in all students currently enrolled in Colleges - Secondary, will
be absorbed in mainstream schools upon graduation payable to the current saturation in the teaching
profession in Community subaltern Secondary Schools.
As not all graduates will be positive in junior schools, starting January 2005 it will be based
upon the go level that is merit on teaching practice and examination mark.
As the situation stands, therefore Colleges be informed to cut the yearbook intake of students
teachers (trainees) in the academic year 2005. As it has been latterly the colleges of education-
Secondary had been expected to enroll at least three 100 trainees annually but now colleges
are advised to enroll at least one hundred and fifty students.
However as for Art they have to
enroll the same number, about thirty students as it has low number of teacher in community
Junior secondary schools.
Addresses are requested to widely publicise this information.
