Reform is defined as the improvement of what is wrong. Reforms sight be performed through a single person, groups of race, or countries. These people work towards what they believe needs to be changed in roll to improve and better their daily lifestyles. In this day and age, it is not uncommon to see people rally together to tease this sort of change. However, during the Progressive term, people were just starting to do that they needed to reform and change different aspects of their lives, such as workplace conditions and nipper labor laws, for the good of themselves, their families, and others. These reforms performed during the Progressive Era paved the way people live their lives immediately. Without these reformers that fought against big companies and the government, I wouldnt have the safety, security, and equality I have today in my job. All in all, reforms for work place conditions and chela labor laws made during the Progressive Era have unnatural me by providing guild lines for child labor, forcing safer working conditions, and supplying worthy wages.
During the Progressive Era, it was common to see s purge or octette year old children working alongside their parents, or even working by themselves.



Even though there were laws in place for child working regulations, they were usually overlooked or not enforced by the government. These electric shavers would work jobs that they were too new for and not capable of doing, and people would turn a screenland eye to it (Lindenmeyer). An example of a dangerous job that adolescent children worked in back then were coal mines. These kids would work hard, arduous hours underground in the cold, dark tunnels. Occasionally, there would be a child who would be working and just have their sense crushed or a hand severed bandage sorting coal; the boss would not care, deem the child useless and just hire another young kid to work for him.
